Travel: Dense fog, wet roadways throughout the District 3 Area

5amCT, Tue 16 Feb 2016 Update: District Three Roads clear of snow & ice, but there is dense fog advisory in district. Motorists should exercise extra caution.
District 3 serves Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe, Simpson, Todd, Warren Counties

BOWLING GREEN, KY. (Tue 16 February 2016) - The National Weather Service has put the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 3 area under a dense fog advisory until 10amCT. Motorists should expect low visibility in many places.



In addition to the dense fog, lots of water from the melting process and rain exist on the roadways. While the roads are clear of snow & ice, motorists need to allow for extra travel time this morning. Due to the dense fog and wet roadways motorists should exercise extra caution this morning during their morning commute.

Road condition updates are available by calling 511 or by logging onto the 511 traffic and travel information website, 511.ky.gov.
