District 4 Roads Update at 5amCT/6amET, Mon 15 Feb 2016

Commuters need to give extra time for travel this morning. Priority routes in decent shape. Crews will continuing plowing on secondary roads, which at this time remain mostly covered
KYTC District 4 area which includes: Breckinridge, Grayson, Green, Hardin, Hart, LaRue, Marion, Meade, Nelson, Taylor and Washington Counties.

By Chris Jessie, Public Information Officer
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, District 4, Elizabethtown, KY

Crews have plowed through the night and many primary routes, including I65, are in decent shape. Temps in the southern half of the district are in the 33-34 range, while our northern counties are in the 31-32 range.

Plowing will continue throughout the day as snow and ice teams work on secondary routes, which are mostly covered. Conditions should allow for effective plowing.

Morning commuters should slow down and allow additional time for travel. Road conditions should continue to improve through the morning and afternoon.

Road condition updates are available by calling 511 or by logging onto the 511 traffic and travel information website, 511.ky.gov.
