SOMERSET, KY (15 Feb 2016) - Crews continue treating roadways this Monday morning after winter weather covered our region with several inches of snow on Sunday.

Main priority A routes are still the focus across the District with crews reporting that these routes remain partly covered. Secondary priority B and C routes continue to be completely covered.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and use caution if out traveling. Give snowplows and other vehicles plenty of space and allow extra time in reaching your destination.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 8 is responsible for maintaining approximately 5,209 lanes miles throughout Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Lincoln, McCreary, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Russell and Wayne counties.
