She attended the Bearwallow United Methodist Church, enjoyed the singing & worship services at Summit Manor and was a housewife. She was a member of a highly regarded Adair County, KY family, the daughter of William & Lucile Ethel Price Settles, and the widow of Glen Cofer.

Anna Mildred Cofer age 85 years a resident of Summit Manor Health & Rehab in Columbia passed Friday, February 12, 2016 at 1:35pmCT, at TJ Samson Community in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral service will be Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY with Rev. Glenn LaFond the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 11amCT, Sunday, until time for funeral service.



Anna Mildred Cofer, 85, Adair County, KY (1930-2016)


She was born on June 20, 1930 in the Bliss community in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the William "Bill" Gobel & Lucille Ethel Price Settles She was the widow of Glenn Lee Cofer who preceded her in death June 4, 2014.

She is survived by following:
  • Cousins: Juanita Popplewell of Cincinnati, OH; Peggy Skaggs of Phoenix, Arizona; Nell Vaughn of Campbellsville, KY; Maurice Cheatham of Columbia, KY; & Julia Ann Breeding of Greensburg, KY

  • Special friend: Catherine Janes of Columbia, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
