Betty Baker Brewster, age 89, of Summer Shade, died Friday, February 05, 2016, at NHC in Glasgow.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 1pmCT, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, with Brother Mark Park. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, February 8, 2016 from 4pm to 8pmCT and after 7amCT on Tuesday, until time of the service, at the funeral home.



Betty Baker Brewster, 89, Summer Shade, KY (1925-2016)


Born November 13, 1925, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, she was a daughter of the late C B and Bertha McCluskey Baker. She died Friday, February 5, 2016, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 89 years, two months, and 23 days.

She was the widow of the late Ray Brewster.

She was a housewife and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include the following:
  • One grandchild: Shannon (John) Key, Summer Shade, KY

  • Two great grand children: Luke and Corbyn Key

  • One daughter in law: Lela Brewster

  • Three sisters: Shirley, Kate and Lola

  • And one brother: Weldon Baker
She was preceded in death by two sons, Phillip Dale and Roger Brewster; one brother Benny Baker; and two sisters Uldean and Beulah Baker.
