Fern J. Austin, 86, Casey Co., KY (1929-2016)
Fern J. Austin passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 at her home in Casey County, KY. She was 86.
A private ceremony will be held at a later date at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
Born April 7, 1929 in Dayton, Ohio, Fern was the daughter of the late Louis and Dorothy Landewitch Hagemeyer. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Fern was a retired registered nurse for the Casey County Hospital and a former volunteer at Ephraim McDowell Regional Hospital. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Bert Austin, whom passed away in 1995; one brother; and a sister. Survivors include:
