Danny S. Smith,63, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016, at his home.

A Memorial Service will be held for Danny Smith on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at 1pmCT, at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY with Bro. Stan Milby officiating. Friends may visit Saturday after 11amCT, at the funeral home.

Danny was born in Owenton, Owen County, KY, on June 10, 1953, a son of the late Stella Kathryn (Davis) and Thomas Smith. He died Thursday, January 28, 2016, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 63 years, seven months, and eight days,.

He was a farmer.

Danny is survived by the following:
  • Son: Daniel Smith

  • Three step-sons: J.R. Childress, Jonathan Odom, and William Farley

  • Step daughter: Evelyn Thomas

  • Two sisters: Gina Phillips and Wanda Niapen

  • Four brothers: Cecil, Donald, Richard, and Thomas Smith

  • Two grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Kenneth Smith.
