William Allen Pickett, 93, Green Co., KY (1922-2016) ![]() Click on headline for complete obituary Mr. William Allen Pickett, 93, of Greensburg, Kentucky, departed this life on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at his home in Greensburg. The funeral services for Mr. William Allen Pickett will be conducted at 1pmCT, Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, with burial to follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery with full military rites conducted by the Marion County Veteran's Honor Guard. Bro. Dale Curry, and Marcus Langacher will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 4pmCT until 8pmCT, Thursday, February 4, 2016, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Friday until time of the funeral service. Pallbearers: James Ford, Jeff Landis, Phillip Coffey, Bobby Landis, Bill Bradshaw, and Jarrett McConnico William Allen Pickett, 93, Green Co., KY (1922-2016) Mr. William Allen Pickett of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Leslie Pickett and Eula Keltner Pickett, was born on March 13, 1922 in Green County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at his home in Greensburg. He was 93 years, 10 months, and 20 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church. He was retired from the United States Postal Service as Assistant Postmaster, was a WWII veteran having served in the United States Army, was a member of the American Legion Rod Lowe Post #124, James L. Pruitt V.F.W. Post #5813, and the Disabled American Veterans. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Mrs. Leora Bass Pickett on May 13, 2011 having united in marriage on March 15, 1950.
