Adair County Grand Jury returns indictments Fri 29 Jan 2016

Indictments brought against 9 individuals from Adair, Casey and Franklin counties in Kentucky. Charges include theft, abuse, possession of marijuana, assault, DUI, and burglary.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Adair County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Columbia, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Friday, 29 January, 2016:


  • Keisha Gilpin (03/02/1994), Moxley Rd., Liberty, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00005. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Criminal abuse, 2nd degree. Bail $25,000 c/sec prop. Arraignment 23 Feb 2016, 1pmCT.

  • Tyler H. Derman (03/28/1990), TP Cundiff Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00006. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Theft by unlawful taking or disposition, $500 or more but less than $10,000 (contents from vehicle). Bail $10,000 c/sec prop. Arraignment 23 Feb 2016, 1pmCT.

  • Joseph E. Mattingly, Jr. (09/11/1965), R Loy Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00007. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Marijuana cultivation, 5 or more plants. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 3 - Possession of marijuana. Count 4 - Tampering iwth physical evidence. Arraignment 23 Feb 2016, 1pmCT.

  • Jonathan W. Grant (08/16/1989), Glensfork Rd., Cold Springs, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00008. Charged with 9 counts. Count 1 - Criminal trespass, 1st degree. Count 2 - Burglary, 2nd degree. Count 3 - Fleeing or evading the police, 1st degree. Count 4 - Theft by unlawful taking or disposition, more than $500 but less than $10,000. Count 5 - Assault, 4th degree, domestic violence. Count 6 - Operating a motor vehicle with alcohol concentration of or above 0.08 or while under the influence of alcohol or other substance, 2nd offense. Count 7 - Operating an ATV upon roadway/public hwy. Count 8 - Unlawful imprisonment, 1st degree. Count 9 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bail $50,000 c/sec prop. Arraignment 23 Feb 2016, 1pmCT.

  • Christopher S. Hadley (04/05/1994), Chance Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00009. Charged with 2 counts. Counts 1 & 2 - Receiving stolen property under $10,000.

  • Jonathan E. Hale (07/26/1985), Burkesville Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00010. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Assault, 4th degree. Count 2 - Resisting arrest. Count 3 - Alcohol intoxication. Count 4 - Assault, 3rd degree (police). Bail $25,000 c/sec prop. Arraignment 23 Feb 2016, 1pmCT.

  • Jeffery L. Feese (02/27/1967), H. Richards Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00011. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Tampering with physical evidence. Count 2 - Leaving the scene of an accident. Bail $25,000 c/sec prop. Arraignment 23 Feb 2016, 1pmCT.

  • Reese A. Wren (06/19/1971), Macky Spoon Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00012. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Receiving stolen property, under $10,000. Arraignment 23 Feb 2016, 1pmCT.

  • Raheem J. Maxwell (05/04/1995), E. Third St., Frankfort, KY Indictment No. 00013. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Burglary, 3rd degree. Count 2 - Theft by unlawful taking or disposition, $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail $50,000 c/sec prop. Arraignment 23 Feb 2016, 1pmCT.
