Policeman airlifted from scene of KY 92 & U.S. 127 collision

Columbia driver of other vehicle and her passenger taken to Russell County Hospital in Russell Springs, KY. KSP Tpr. Jason Warinner assisted at the scene by Jamestown Police Department, Russell County Sheriff's Department, Russell Springs Police Department, Russell County EMS and Jamestown Police Department.

RUSSELL SPRINGS, KY. (Sun 31 Jan 2016) - Tpr. Jason Warinner is investigating a collision that occurred Saturday, January 30 at 9:47amCT. 35-year-old Melissa Kessinger was operating an eastbound 2006 Pontiac on KY 92 and failed to yield the right of way at the intersection of US 127. Kessinger pulled into the path of a 2013 Dodge police cruiser operated by Jamestown Police officer, 56-year-old Kent D. McDaniel.



McDaniel was belted and was airlifted to UK Medical center where he was treated and released.

Kessinger, of Columbia, KY and a passenger, 55-year-old Wanda Murray, of Columbia were both belted and were transported to Russell County Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Tpr. Warinner was assisted at the scene by Jamestown Police Department, Russell County Sheriff's Department, Russell Springs Police Department, Russell County EMS and Jamestown Fire Department.
