He was the son of the late Clayton R. & Georgia Hart Rice and the widower of Linda Tabor Rice. He leaves 17 direct and three step living descendants. He was a carpenter a was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving his country in the U. S. Army. Funeral service Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Lonny Karnes the officiatiing clergy. Interment will be in Fudge Cemetery, 847 Independence Road, Breeding, KY, with full military honors presented by the local VFW Post 6097. Visitation will be after 12pmNoonCT, on Sunday. He died January 27, 2016, in LaFayette, Tippecanoe County, IN at the age of 82 years, eight months, and two days. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Tabor Rice, on May 9, 2014 and two sons Spike Rice & Audie Rice. He is survived by the following:
