Tommy Mills, 76, Green County, KY (1939-2016) He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. He was a local sportsman, businessman and educator who influenced generations of Green Countians through his on-field performance and dedication to local recreation. Mr. Mills was acknowledged for his automobile body technical wizardry, first operating a business in Exie and later recruited as auto body shop teacher at the Tim Lee Carter Vocational School which evolved into the Green County Area Technology Center. Mr. Mills was also honored in 2004 with a ball field being named in his honor at Legion Park. Tommy Mills, 76, Green County, KY (1939-2016) Tommy Mills was born November 25, 1939 in Green County, KY. He was the son of the late O.C. "Tutt" Mills and Virginia Alice Wilcox Mills. He departed this life Sunday, January 24, 2016 after a lengthy battle with cancer at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, Hardin County, KY, having attained the age of seventy-six years, one month and twenty-nine days. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. He was a local sportsman, businessman and educator who influenced generations of Green Countians through his on-field performance and dedication to local recreation. Mr. Mills was acknowledged for his automobile body technical wizardry, first operating a business in Exie and later recruited as auto body shop teacher at the Tim Lee Carter Vocational School which evolved into the Green County Area Technology Center. Mr. Mills was also honored in 2004 with a ball field being named in his honor at Legion Park. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Ruth Louise Mills.
