Larna Griffen, 73, of Russell Springs, KY, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at her home in Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral Services for Larna Griffen will be Friday, January 29, 2016, 11amCT, at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY. Friends may visit Thursday after 5pmCT, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Jamestown City Cemetery, 201 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY.



Larna Griffen, 73, Rusell County, KY (1942-2016)

Larna was born in Pikeville, KY, on May 10,1942, a daughter of the late Mary Betty (Francis) and Sterling Elkins. She died Tuesday, January 26, 2016, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 73 years, eight months, and 16 days.

She was a homemaker.

Larna Griffen is survived by the following:
  • A daughter: Anita D. Popplewell, of Jamestown, KY

  • Sister: Mary Miller, of Jamestown, KY

  • Two brothers: Ed Elkins, of Jamestown, KY; and Danny Elkins, of Dandridge, TN

  • Two grandsons: Donovon Campbell and Dalen Popplewell of Jamestown, KY
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clyde Griffen; two sons Keith and Kevin Smith; and one brother Johnny Roger Elkins.
