Mary Catherine Farr Flowers, 91, Brooks, KY (1924-2016)

Ms. Mary Catherine Farr Flowers, age 91, of Brooks, Kentucky, a native of The Highway Community in Clinton County, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016 at The Norton-Audubon Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 1pmCT in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky with Bro. Mark Harrison officiating. Burial will be in the Modoc Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 28, 2016 after NoonCT at Norris-New Funeral Home until the funeral hour on Friday.

Ms. Flowers was born in Highway, Clinton County, Kentucky on Tuesday, June 24, 1924, the daughter of Martin and Mertie (Hagan) Farr. She was a member of Green Grove Baptist Church and a Housekeeper.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Gann and a brother, Hershel Farr.

She is survived by
  • Her children, Howard (and Doris) Flowers of Louisville, Kentucky, Waymon (and Shirley) Flowers of Brooks, Kentucky, Frances (and Walter) Belden of Jeffersonville, Indiana,
  • Her brother, James Farr of Jeffersonville, Indiana,
  • Her sister-in-law, Gennetta Farr of Brooks, Kentucky,
  • Eight grandchildren,
  • Twelve great-grandchildren
  • Ahost of other relatives and friends.
