Wayne Sayers passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016 in Casey County, KY. He was 75.

Funeral services are 1pmCT/2pmET Sunday, January 31, 2016 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY. Burial will follow in Mintonville Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 11amCT, until funeral service.



Wayne Sayers, 76, Casey County, KY (1940-2016)

Born October 3, 1940 in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late Hershel and Mattie Watson Sayers. He died Sunday, January 24, 2016, in Casey County, KY, at the age of 75 years, thre months, and 21 days.

He was a farmer and logger.

Survivors include:
  • The mother of his children: Charlene Weir Sayers of Tennessee

  • A son: Thomas (and Shanna) Sayers of Dunnville, KY

  • Three daughters: Vickie (and Richard) Yeomans of Marietta, Georgia; Peggy (and Greg) Holt of Russell Springs, KY; and Lisa (and Jerry) Sayers of Memphis, Indiana

  • Seven grandchildren

  • A great-grandchild

  • Three brothers: Chester L., Eugene, and Claude Sayers, all of Windsor

  • And two sisters: Levonda Luttrell and Wanda Gay Dick both of Windsor, KY
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Jessee Sayers and sister, Ila Olene Sayers.
