Sign-up underway for 4-H Arts & Crafts class

There will be a 4-H Arts & Crafts Fair Project class starting on February 9, 2016. The class is limited to 15 youth ages 9-18 and all youth will do projects that can be entered in the County Fair. Sign-ups are now being taken. You can contact the Adair County Cooperative Extension Office at 270-384-2317 or by email at trose@uky.edu. Registration deadline is February 4, 2016.
>BR> The classes will meet at the Adair County Cooperative Extension Service located at 409 Fairground Street. Classes will meet on February 9, February 16, February 23, and March 1. Classes will start at 5:30pmCT and end at 6:30pmCT.



Topics to be covered - Scrapbooking, Folk Art, Decoupage. We will do one project each session with the last day being a finishing day since both folk art and decoupage projects will need to dry. Students will learn different crafting skills, and how to express themselves through creative outlets. These workshops will also give students a chance to get a head start on county fair projects. There is no fee for this class.

The following materials will be needed: Scrapbooking- scrapbooking paper, stickers/embellishments, glue, markers/pens, plastic page protectors Folk Art- wooden items(letters, boxes, etc.), paint, paint brushes, old newspaper Decoupage- paper folders(or manila folders), decoupage or mod podge glue, sponge brushes, paper(scrap paper, newspaper, or old books.)
