Philip Ray Barton, 73, of Central City, KY, died Friday, January 22, 2016 at 6:16pmCT, at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 1pmCT, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY. Burial will be in New Liberty Cemetery in Metcalfe County. Visitation will be held, Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 5pmCT, at Tucker Funeral Home,113 N 3rd Steet, Central City, KY, and January 25, 2016 at 4pmCT for family and 5pmCT, for friends at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton.

Mr. Barton was born March 25, 1942 in Metcalfe County, KY. He died Friday, January 22, 2016, at his residence in Central City, Muhlenberg County, KY, at the age of 73 years, nine months, and 28 days.

Mr. Barton was a lineman for Comcast Cable and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Barton, and the following:
  • Sons: Jack Higgs, Todd Radford, Richard Smith, Charles Smith, and Curtis Smith

  • Daughters: Lori Locke, Tracie Neal, Terri Wilson

  • Twenty-one grandchildren

  • Thirteen great-grandchildren

  • Sisters: Barbara Pedigo, Lugene Jesse, Naomi Burris.
