Katherine Brown, 60, Casey Co., KY (1955-2016)

She was a homemaker and member of the Shady Grove Separate Baptist Church. She loved to fish and enjoyed trying new recipes. She was a native of Casey County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death in Boyle County, KY. She was the daughter of the late James ShirleyAllen and Myrtle Marie Emerson Allen. Her husband, Wallace Lee Brown, Jr., survives. She leaves 15 direct living descendants.

Katherine Brown of Liberty, KY, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 at the Ephraim McDowell Medical Center, Danville, KY. She was 60.

Funeral services are 12pmCT/1pmET, Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Grace Baptist Church, Wilson Ridge Road, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Timothy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Grace Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is Monday, January 25, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home and Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until funeral service at Grace Baptist Church.

Born May 20, 1955 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late James Shirley Allen and Myrtle Marie Emerson Allen. She died Friday, January 22, 2016, in Danville, Boyle County, KY, at the age of 60 years, eight months, and two days,

She was a homemaker and member of the Shady Grove Separate Baptist Church. She loved to fish and enjoyed trying new recipes.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Wallace Lee Brown, Jr. of Liberty, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: Timothy (and Mary) Brown of Danville, KY; and Jeffery Brown of Liberty, KY

  • Two daughters: Beverly (and Kyle) Mardis of Campbellsville, KY; and Kathy (and Ronnie) Lee of Liberty, KY

  • Eleven grandchildren

  • Two brothers: Johnny (and Katrina) Allen of Liberty and Mark (and Michelle) Allen of Tennessee

  • Six sisters: Joan (and Delton) Coppage of Liberty, KY; Thelma (and Neal) Tucker of Knifley, KY; Donna (and William) Myers of Liberty, KY; Helen (and Freddie) Vonlinger of Lancaster, KY; Rebecca (and Stanley) Coffey of Russell Springs, KY; and Marilyn Earles of Moreland, KY
  • And sister-in-law: Bernice Allen of Campbellsville, KY
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, James "Jimmy" Roy Allen and two sisters, Judy Kay Mowrer and Velma May Allen.
