Just wanted to pass along a thank you to the anonymous person who paid my bill at Walmart this morning. Today is my mom's 87th birthday, and I had stopped to pick up cake and ice cream and a few other things I needed. The cashier rang up my items, which came to about $42.00.

As I searched through my purse I realized I had left my wallet on the table at the house. I went out to the vehicle to borrow my husband's credit card (seems we never have cash on us).

When I returned to the register, the cashier informed me that my bill had been covered by the gentleman in line behind me.

I am sorry that I failed to get a name and address so that I can pay him back, but I don't think he would have given it to me anyway.

Therefore, please know that your act of kindness was greatly appreciated and I will seek out an opportunity to pay it forward!

PS - My mom had a good birthday celebration and enjoyed hearing the story of how she came to have a cake. --Diana Eastham
