How are you doing staying put?

by Linda Waggener

If you miss the snow, it headed up east this morning, Mary Keltner is probably battling it as we speak just north of Washington DC.

However, if you're content to, or have no option but to, stay where you are today, official first responders will be glad if we stay off the roads.

It's not our auto-owning, freedom-loving natures to stay put, but that's the directions we're getting.

Stacy Estes, Kentucky State Police Post 15 Dispatcher, said a little before noon today, "we've been getting calls for 24 hours and the message is the same -- all roads in the region are slick and hazardous -- stay home!!"

She said as a matter of fact that if she had anything other than an arterial bleed, SHE would stay home if she could!

At any hour you will be able to call 511 and get detailed road condition recorded reports anytime. It's worth a listen.
