LWC Women's Tennis favored to capture MSC title in 2016 By Charlie Balcom The Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team is the favorite to capture the Mid-South Conference regular season title in 2016, according to the MSC Preseason Coaches' Poll released by conference officials on Thursday. Lindsey Wilson, who has won four-consecutive regular season titles and 11 of the previous 12, received 49 voting points from the conference coaches and seven-of-eight first-place votes. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team. Last season, Lindsey Wilson won the MSC Tournament crown for the 11th-consecutive season and advanced to the NAIA National Semifinals for the fourth-straight year. Shortly behind the Blue Raiders in second place is Cumberland (Tenn.) with 43 total points and the final first-place vote. Campbellsville (Ky.) is third with 35 points, followed by Cumberlands (Ky.) and Georgetown (Ky.) is a tie for fourth with 29 points. Shawnee State (Ohio) is sixth with 16 points, Pikeville (Ky.) is seventh with 13 points and St. Catharine is eighth with 10 points.
