Edward Glen (Ed) Harvey, Adair County, KY (1939-2016)

was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a retired truck driver and a farmer. He was a US Army Veteran, and will be accorded full military honors at committal rites. He was a member of a large, highly regarded Adair County, KY family, the son of hte late George Clarence and Hazel Janes Harvey. His wife, Brenda McCoy Harvey, survives. He leaves one direct and five step living descendants.

Edward Glen "Ed" Harvey, 76, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Monday, January 18, 2016 at 11:39amCT at his home.

Funeral service will be Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Steve Pescosolido officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY, with full military honors presented by VFW Post 6097. Visitation after 11amCT, Sunday, January 24, 2016.


Casket Bearers: Ronnie "Booper" Burton, Jeff Hampton, Mike McMinoway, Bobby DeVore, Bryan Helm, and Ryan Johnson.

Edward Glen "Ed" Harvey, Adair County, KY (1939-2016)

He was born January 19, 1939 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. He died Monday, January 18, 2016, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 76 years, 11 months, and 30 days.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Clarence and Hazel Janes Harvey and a daughter, Shay Harvey.

Ed was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a US Army Veteran, a retired truck driver and a farmer.

Survivors include:
  • His wife: Brenda McCoy Harvey of Columbia, KY

  • One daughter: Kim Harvey Helm of Columbia, KY

  • Three step-grandchildren: Bryan (Joni) Helm, Lacey Helm, and Beth Helm

  • Two step-great-grandchildren: Gracie Burton and Will Thompson
