He was the son of Susie Maynard Russell Appleby, who survives and the late Hugh Appleby, Sr. He was a native of Indianapolis, IN, and a resident of Jamestown, KY, at the time of his death in Russell Springs, KY.

Hugh E. Appleby, Jr.,57, of Jamestown, KY passed away on Thur. Jan.7, 2016 at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY. Graveside service for Hugh E. Appleby, Jr. were held Friday January 8, 2016 at the Jamestown City Cemetery, 201 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY. Burial is in Jamestown City Cemetery.

Hugh was born June 30, 1958, in Indianapolis, Marion County, IN, a son of Susie Maynard Russell and the late Hugh Appleby. He died Thursdsay, January 7, 2016, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 57 years, six months, and seven days.

Hugh is survived by:
  • Mother: Susie Russell, Jamestown, KY

  • Four sisters: Judy Mann, Marilyn McQueary, Deborah King and Carolyn Williams all of Jamestown, KY

  • Brother Larry (Cannonball) Appleby, of Jamestown, KY

  • Three half sisters: Kim Fayard, of Georgia, Virginia Huddleston and Cynthia Montgomery of Jamestown, KY.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh Appleby; step father, James Russell; two sisters, Donna McGowan and Connie Appleby; and half sister Beverly Collins.
