Mrs. Icy Ford McCubbin, 99, Green County, KY (1916-2016)

She was the member of a highly regarded Summersville, KY family. She died just 12 days short of her 100th birthday. She leaves five direct living descendants. Her final resting place will be in Green County at Aetna Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Icy Ford McCubbin, age 99 of Summersville, Kentucky, passed away Saturday at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.

The funeral for Mrs. Icy Ford McCubbin will be conducted at 12pmNoonCT, Monday, January 11, 2016, at the Summersville Baptist Church, 5199 Hodgenville Road, Summersville, KY with burial to follow in the Aetna Grove Cemetery. Visitation is requested from 4pm until 7pmCT, Sunday, January 10, 2016, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY and after 10amCT, Monday at the Summersville Baptist Church until time of the funeral service.

She was born January 21, 1916. She died January 9, 2016 in Elizabethtown, Hardin County, KY, at the age of 99 years, 11 months, and 19 days.

She is survived by the following:
  • A daughter and son-in-law: Linda and James Troy of Elizabethtown, KY

  • A granddaughter: Jamie Lynn Williams and her husband Andy of Kansas

  • Two great-grandchildren: Colin Williams and Renton Williams both of Kansas

  • A sister: Elsie McFarland of Middletown, KY

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Summersville Baptist Church, which can be made at the funeral home.
