He was the son of the late Aquilee & Ima George Stephens and the widower of Rose Etta Stephens. He leaves seven direct living descendants. Stephens will be 2pmCT Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Spivey and Bro. Ted Stidham officiating. Visitation after 5pmCT, Thursday, January 7, 2015. Interment in the Bernard Cemetery. Special Music: Donna Willis. Pallbearers: Randy Stephens, Steve Tucker, Rodney Wright, Nathan Skaggs, Vince Popplewell, and Darrell Brent Popplewell. He was a retired General Electric employee and owned & operated Stephens Shoe Store for many years. He was a member of Main Street Church of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Etta Stephens; three brothers, Jack, Chester, and Paul David Stephens and one sister, Phyllis Antle. Survivors include:
