To the person driving a late model pickup truck on Bull Run Road who decided it would be Fun to cross over the road and hit our dog in our driveway last Tuesday night at 11:30pm.

This was a member of our family and she has been a constant companion and protector of our grandchildren all their lives.

You have left hurt and devastation to a 12, 11 and 6 year old who are lost and afraid to go outside because their companion is not there, not to mention the grief the adults feel.

This was not just some dumb animal.

She was highly trained and very intelligent.

I know you probably have no remorse, but I am hoping your friends may say something to trigger some sembulance of regret when you brag about how skillful you were to kill a dog with your car, or, at least for you to decide to not kill someone else's family member.

From the Grandparents of three lost kids.
