Mr. Kenneth Howard Garner, age 71, of Alpha, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Fayette County, KY. Kentucky.

Funeral service for Mr. Kenneth Howard Garner will be conducted Saturday, January 2, 2016, at 11amCT, at Campbell-New Funeral Home, 115 Cross Street, Albany, KYm with Pastors David Stearns and Earnest Mann officiating. Burial will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends after 5pmCT, Friday, January 1, 2016 at the Funeral Home.

He was the son of William "Bill" and Kate (Shelton) Garner.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Mark Garner, three sisters, Edna Garner, Mary Garner, and Christeen Garner, two brothers, Wendell Garner and Haskell Garner, and an infant grandson.

He is survived by the following:
  • Three sisters: Ruth Marcum, Pauline Garner Both of Alpha, Kentucky; and Reba Taylor of Byrdstown, Tennessee

  • Three granddaughters: Shanice (and Michael) Hood of Albany, Kentucky; Amelia "Katie" Garner and Alena Garner

  • Two great-grand children: Jaxson Braswell, Colton Hood

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • Plus a host of other friends and relatives.
