Barbara Jean Groce Riddle, age 76, of Glasgow, died Saturday, December 26, 2015, at NHC in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at 1pmCT, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, with Brother Greg Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in the Beaumont Cemetery. Visitation will begin Monday, December 28, 2015 at 1pmCT, and after 7amCT, Tuesday, until time of services.



Barbara Jean Groce Riddle, 76, Summer Shade, KY (1939-2015)

Born January 7, 1939 in Summer Shade, she was a daughter of the late Cordell and Mae Shaw Groce, and the widow of the late Cletus Riddle. She died Saturday, December 26, 2015, at the age of 76 years, 11 months, and 19 days.

She was a housekeeper.

Survivors, include:
  • Two daughters: Janetta Ervin, Edmonton, KY; and Teresa (Daryl) Hurt, Glasgow, KY

  • Two sons: Timothy E. (Penny) Riddle, Edmonton, KY; and Richard Riddle, Glasgow, KY

  • One sister: Sue Mosier, Knob Lick, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Timmie Wayne Ervin, Sarah Ervin, Shannon Maulden, Adam Hurt, and Colbie Riddle

  • And five great grandchildren
Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a half brother Johnny Collins.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Beaumont Cemetery.
