Pinewood Shopping Center coming to Adair County in 2016

Economic Development News: Mike Stephens and Mike Neal GRMH, LLC, announcing a new 30,550 s.f. Office or Retail building in on the Southwest Corner of Burkesville Road and Edmonton Road, across Burkesville Street from Holladay Place, and across Edmonton Road from Miss Victoria's Pampered Angus Ranch. The project is outside the City Limits of Columbia.

Mike Neal and Mike Stephens are announcing yet another major project, Pinewood Shopping Center, a 30,550 s.f. Shopping Center to be built, marketed and developed by their company, GRMH, LLC in 2016.

Stephens, Adair County Judge Executive, said that the accompanying designs by Benton Fudge of Columbia's South Central Designs, were just received today.



Judge Stephens said that he and Neal will be negotiating with major retailers for space in the the center as construction plans move forward.

"This will be a big boost for Columbia," Judge Stephens said. "It will mean more traffic to the shopping center, and suggested that, among the retailers being recruited are big names like T.J Maxx.

With this shopping center development, the focus now the development on the Southside of Columbia. Holladay place, is the site of three projects lready scheduled for completion in 2016 are the 66 room Sleep Inn Hotel and a new Hardee's Restaurant.Holladay Place is anchored by Columbia Walmart Supercenter, which opened October 29, 2008. Since then Goodwill, Duo-County, a Five Star convenience Store, and Burger King have opened locations there.

Pinewood Shopping Center is in the County, while Holladay Place is in the city limits of Columbia. Judge Stephens said that GRMH, LLC, had bought the property for the development from Adair County Judge Richard Lee Walker.

Judge Stephens said that Pinewood Shopping Center is another dream coming true for Columbia. "I think we're going to see much more in this coming year," he said.

Mike Neal & Mike Stephens of GRMH, LLC, have announced a new 30,550 s.f. office/retail Pinewood Shopping Center to be opened sometime in 2016 in Holladay Place. The development is the third major project announced for the center, which will see the new Sleep Inn Hotel opened next year and a new Hardee's Restaurant, too. Both of the latter are under construction. The center is being designed by Benton Fudge's South Central Designs, LLC, Columbia, KY. Tommy Kemp's Sign One One is designing a logo and signage for the development. There will be several out parcels for development, too. - EW
