Chamber announces winners of Shop Local drawings Christmas came early for five local shoppers, winners in the second annual Columbia-Adair Chamber Shop Local promotion.Click on headline for story with photo(s) Look for the Chamber Shop Local door clings left, presented to local Chamber businesses as part of this year’s Shop Local promotion. The clings serve as a daily reminder of the importance of shopping local every day of the year. Two local businesses owners for designing and printing the clings, Tommy Kemp of Sign One One, the designer; and Ralph Waggener of South Central Printing, the printer. - BRENDA MANN By Brenda Mann News from the Columbia Adair County Chamber of Commerce Christmas came early for five local customers who shopped and registered at local participating Chamber businesses during the second annual Chamber Shop Local promotion held November 28 to December 19, 2015. The Shop Local winners of $100 each ($500 total prizes) are Gerald Lucas, Lisa Luttrell, April Robles, Hope Wall and Lana Warren. Ten year old Hope Wall, the daughter of Chris and Cheryl Wall was the youngest prize winner. She demonstrated the true spirit of a winner indicating her plans to use her one hundred dollar winnings to buy Christmas gifts for her family. Sponsors of the five $100 Shop Local prizes were Community Trust Bank, Duo County Telecom, First & Farmers National Bank, Golden Rule - Wilson Real Estate & Auction and Dr. Ronald Rogers. Congratulations to our Shop Local prize winners, and thank you to all the businesses that participated in this promotion and offer valuable services and merchandise to our community.
