Jasper Leon Burton, 69, Adair County, KY (1946-2015)

He was a United States Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. He will be accorded full military honors at committal ceremonies. He a member of Willow Oak Church of Christ in Russell County and a brick mason. He was a native of Russell County, KY, and a resident of Adair County, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Sterling Burton and Enola Mann Burton. His wife, Yvonne Hinkle Burton, survives. He leaves six direct living descendants.

Jasper Leon Burton, 69, of Columbia, KY, died Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 9:35pmCT, at Glasgow State Nursing Facility in Glasgow, KY

Funeral service will be Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY Burial will in Montgomery Cemetery with full military honors presented by VFW Post 6097. Visitation will be after 9amCT, Wednesday, at the funeral home.



Jasper Leon Burton, 69, Adair County, KY (1946-2015)

He was born August 8, 1946, in Russell County, KY, he was the son of the late Sterling & Enola Mann Burton. He died Sunday, December 20, 2015, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 69 years, four months, and 12 days.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Yulanda Burton, two brothers, Orvil & Joe Burton, and a sister, Linda Burton.

He was a United States Army Veteran having served in Vietnam, a member of Willow Oak Church of Christ in Russell County and a brick mason. Survivors include:
  • His wife: Yvonne Hinkle Burton of Columbia, KY

  • One son: Ronnie (Mary Jane) Burton of Columbia, KY

  • Two brothers: Glenville (Susie) & Jerry (Linda) Burton all of Russell Springs, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Booper Burton, Brandon Burton & Brittany McClister

  • Two great-grandchildren: Gracie & Paxton Burton
