Earl Ballenger, Blankenship Street, Jamestown, KY, died Saturday, December 19, 2015,at 4:21amET, at Jewish Hospital, Louisville, KY.

Funeral services will be at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, at 10amCT, Tuesday, December 22, 2015, with Bro. Bodie Emerson the officiating clergy. Burial will be in Ballenger-Carnes Cemetery, Jamestown, KY. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Monday, December 21, 2015, at the funeral home.



He was born March 21, 1941, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Cellie Ballenger and the late Mary Jane Lawless Ballenger. He died Saturday, December 19, 2015, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 74 years, eight months, and 28 days.

He was a laborer.

He is survived by the following:
  • Two Brothers: Johnny Ballenger, Russell Springs, KY; and Gary Ballenger, Columbia, KY

  • Two sisters: Alene Pennington, Dayton, Ohio; and Pauletta Stoyall, Shepherdsville, KY

  • And a host of nieces and nephews
He was preceded n death by his parents, one sister, Betty Lou Stearns; and three brothers, Glen, Leonard, and Leland Ballenger.
