Letter: Caucus will force candidates to campaign in Kentucky

Susan K Breeding writes:
The Kentucky Caucus will enable the State of Kentucky to be viable in the selection of the Republican candidate. Kentucky has 45 delegates. Our Primary election is held in May and by this time our voice is not heard. By having a caucus the candidates have to pay attention to the state. Visits by either the candidates or spokesmen will be necessary.

In the past, presidential candidates have bypassed our state. We want to have a voice. In the last few years over 200,000 folks have registered republican to some 20,000 democrats. As Repubicans we should be proud of our growth and will be recognized on a national level. --Susan K. Breeding, Washington County Republican Vice Chairman
