Travel Advisory: I-65 in Hart County By Chris Jessie, Public Information Officer Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, District 4, Elizabethtown, KY (7:08amCT Thu 17 Dec 2015) - Light volumes overnight were very beneficial in keeping traffic moving around the southbound closure at Exit 71 (Bonnieville). Aside from short periods of rain, no major issues were reported as contract crews cut trenches across travel lanes at Mile Point 67 and installed pipe to alleviate standing water issues. Assistance by those on this distribution list is very appreciated. It would not have been possible to communicate our message to the traveling public without your help. Many motorists utilized the Western Kentucky and Natcher Parkway alternate route, relieving congestion on both I65 and US 31W. With rain delaying work progress, completion was slightly behind schedule. All lanes are now open in Hart County. This story was posted on 2015-12-17 06:55:15
