Mae G. Holt, 89, Russell Co., KY; Adair native (1926-2015)

She was a member of a highly regarded South Central Kentucky with deep roots in Adair & Russell and Warren Counties and elsewhere. She was the daughter of the late Virgil Grant and Gladys Bledsoe Grant and the widow of Bunt Holt. She leaves eight direct living descendants. Mrs. Holt was a homemaker.

Mae G. Holt, 89, Bowling Green, KY, formerly of Jamestown, KY, died at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky, Bowling Green, KY, Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at 7:55amCT.

The funeral service will be at 12pmNoonCT, Friday, December 18, 2015, at the Jamestown First Baptist Church, 127 E Cumberland Avenue, Jamestown, KY, with Bro. Scott Russell officiating. Burial will be in Jamestown Cemetery, 201 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 201 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY.

She was born October 11, 1926, in Glens Fork, Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Virgil Grant and Gladys Bledsoe Grant. She died Tuesday, December 15, 2015, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 89 years, two months, and four days.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by the following:
  • A grandson: Kelly Holt, Bowling Green, KY

  • A granddaughter: Leann Phillips, Bowling Green, KY

  • Six great grandchildren

  • One sister: Mary Albrecht, Dayton, OH
She was preceded in death by per parents, her husband Bunt Holt, son Larry Holt, sister Nellie Revoulett, and two brothers, Robert and Roy Grant.
