Hazel M. Neal, 89, Adair County, KY, (1926-2015)

She was a member of a large, outstanding Adair County family, the daughter of the late Elic & Katie Coomer Hill. She was born in Columbia, KY, and was a resident of Bourbonnais, IL at the time of her death, and her final resting place will be there. She leaves many relatives in the local Adair-Russell County area, including Cecil & Kendall Harvey and family of Columbia, KY; and Airy & Esteline Hill, of Jamestown, KY.

Hazel M. Neal 89 years of Bourbonnais, Illinois formerly of Adair Co. KY passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Miller Health Care, Kankakee, IL.

Funeral service Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 11amCT, at the Clancy-Germon Funeral Home, 295 Main Street W, Bourbonnais, IL. Burial in the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois. Visiting will begin on Wednesday from 4pmCT - 8pmCT, at the funeral home.

She was born February 25, 1926 in Columbia, Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Elic and Katie Coomer Hill. She She was also preceded in death by a brother, Chester Hill; and two sisters, Rosie Loy and Flossie Garmon.

She is survived by her husband Roy L. Neal of Bourbonnais, IL, and the following:
  • Two sons: Glen Neal and wife Karen of Michigan; and Mitchell Neal and wife Diane of Bridgeview, IL

  • One daughter: Judy Crombar and husband Craig of Kankakee, IL
  • And locally
  • One sister: Cecil Harvey and husband Kendall of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Airy Hill and wife, Esteline of Jamestown, KY

  • Brother: Tommy Hill and wife, Earline of Rice Field, TN

  • Sisters: Ruby Spicer of Indiana and Matrie Roach of Burbank, IL

  • Ten grandchildren

  • Nine great grandchildren
