A statement from Mayor Hardwick on liquor license rumors

Concerning rumors of liquor and beer licenses already awarded for Adair County

Statement from Mayor Curtis Hardwick:
I am hearing rumors that the liquor licenses have already been awarded for Adair County. This is not TRUE!

There are 9 steps that you have to go through to apply for such licenses. They are:
  1. Advertise in the newspaper. So far only one party has advertised in the paper.
  2. List on application all the owners or partners
  3. Complete the statewide criminal background check
  4. Have a copy of Articles of Incorporation, partnership papers or organizational papers.
  5. Have a copy of your deed
  6. Apply to the State for a Sales Tax Number
  7. Determine which license you want to have
  8. Pay the application fees with a certified check, money order or cashier's check
  9. On application, make sure all documents are attached and then mail in your application and fees
To my knowledge, no one has completed these steps to date.
