Hospital Board votes on settlement with banks in Chapter 9

Mediation meeting in Louisville, KY cancelled as result of this settlement. Next step in case is hearing before Chapter 9 Bankruptcy Judge in Louisville, KY, on 18 December 2015

From the Adair County Hospital/Westlake Regional Hospital

COLUMBIA, KY (Thu 10 Dec 2015) - The Board of the Adair County Hospital District and the Adair County Public Hospital District met in a concurrent Special Called meeting today, Thursday, December 10, 2015, and voted to pay $8,887,500 to settle, in full, both notes due to the banks.

This successfully concludes the mediation begun on Thursday, December 3, 2015. The Board is very optimistic that this decision will set the stage for an affirmative vote from creditors on a modified Plan of Adjustment that will be submitted to the Bankruptcy Court in the very near future.

The Special Called meeting of Adair County Hospital District and the Adair County Public Hospital District Corporation, scheduled for tomorrow, December 11, 2015, has been cancelled.
