Columbia man arrested; charges include assault on officer Incident follows response to domestic violence on Burkesville Street. Charges allege multiple charges including felony assault on an officer after altercation. 30-year old man lodged in Adair County Regional Jail in Columbia, KY. Click on headline for complete story By Ofc Josh Brockman, Public Information Officer Columbia, KY, Police Department, Jason Cross, Chief COLUMBIA, KY (Fri 11 Dec 2015) - At approximately 6:32pmCT on Decemeber 10, 2015, Columbia Police Department officers was dispatched to the 900 block of Burkesville Street to a reported Domestic Violence assault. Upon arrival officers determined that an assault had taken place, and officers attempted to place 30 year old Jonathon Hale into custody. At that point Hale became combative and struck Ofc. Brockman. Hale was subdued and placed under arrest after altercation and lodged in Adair County Regional, Columbia, KY, on the following charges:
