Bonnie Louise Conatser Gordon, 76, Summer Shade, Kentucky (1939-2015)

She was a native of Cumberland County, KY, the daughter of the late Warsh Conatser and Maude Anderson Conatser. She was the widow of Charles E. Gordon. She leaves 15 direct and 15 step living descendants. She was of the Baptist faith.

Bonnie Louise Conatser Gordon, age 76, of Summer Shade, died Sunday, December 6, 2015, at the Monroe Health and Rehab, Tompkinsville, KY.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 1pmCT, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, with Brother Jerry Greene officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Flat Cemetery in Metcalfe County, KY. Visitation will begin Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at 1pmCT and after 7amCT, on Wednesday, until time of services.

She was a housewife and of the Baptist faith.
  • Two daughters: Betty Bartley and her husband Michael, of Edmonton, KY; and Barbara (Bobbie) Hawkins and her husband Ricky, of Edmonton, KY

  • One son: Donald (Duck) Gordon and his fiance' Lois Brown, Summer Shade, KY

  • Four sisters: Jessie White, Alene Hurt, Lee Ann Gillentine, and Betty Porter, all of Glasgow, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Amanda (Kevin) Allen, Tompkinsville, KY; Samantha (Kelly) Vibbert, Willow Shade, KY; Don (Brittney) Gordon Jr, Summer Shade, KY; Ellen (Angel) Gordon, Morgantown, KY; and Charles R. (Chuckie) Gordon

  • Seven step grandchildren

  • Seven great grandchildren: Coy and Troy Allen, Payslee and Bailey Vibbert; William (Willie) Smith, McKenzie Gordon; and Neely Gordon

  • And eight step great grandchildren
  • She was preceded in death besides her parents and husband, by one great grandchild, Shaylee Vibbert; one sister Beatrice Reed; and two brothers Sid and Barlow Conatser.
