Rodney Darrell Wheat, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the University Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 9, 2015 10amCT till 1pmCT, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, Kentucky. Funeral services will be at 1pmCT, December 9, 2015 at the funeral home, with Bro. Richard Wheat officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Damron's Creek Road, Russell Springs, Kentucky.



He was a member of Hungry House Pentecostal Church and a computer technician.

He was born on Saturday, August 21, 1971 in Somerset, Kentucky. He was the son of Roger (Lana) Wheat, Russell Springs, KY and Linda Cooper (Donnie) Tucker, Russell Springs, KY. He died in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 44 years, three months, 15 days.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Dawn E. Stevenson Wheat, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • One step daughter, Jennifer Kelly, Russell Springs, KY

  • One step son: Bill Kelly, San Antonio, TX

  • One brother: Richard (Kim) Wheat, Glasgow, KY

  • One sister: Lori (Bill) Stevenson, Russell Springs, KY

  • Grandmother: Mavis Cooper, Russell Springs, KY

  • Three nieces

  • and one nephew
Expressions of sympathy to take the form of a contribution to help with funeral expenses and may be left at the funeral home.
