18th Metcalfe Home Tour, today, features 7 venues

Tour starting at 1pmCT, Sun 6 Dec 2015, includes four homes, two offices, and the Old Jail.

The 18th Annual Metcalfe County Christmas Home Tour will be conducted on Sunday, December 6, 2015 from 1pm until 4:30pmCT. The tickets for the tour, purchased today, are $7.00.

This year's event includes these homes, offices, and the historice site:


  1. Daniel & Ashley Gallagher, 611 South Main Street, Edmonton
  2. Dale, Pam & Amanda Gibson, 491 Good Luck Beaumont Road, Edmonton, KY
  3. Beth Odle, 6007 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade
  4. David & Melinda Page, 2679 Apple Grove Road, Summer Shade.
  5. Also, the law office of Barry Gilley, Metcalfe County Attorney. Barry has made many renovations to the historic building which housed The Peoples Bank in early years. The office is located on the Edmonton Public Square.
  6. Glass & Thompson Insurance Agency, 1006 West Stockton Street, Edmonton, KY, is also a part of this year's tour. Mark and Karan Linkous have greatly enlarged their office space with a sizable addition and have also renovated existing space.
  7. the Metcalfe County Historic Jail located on East Street will also be on the tour for the second year in a row. Even if one has previously visited the jail, one should stop by again, for on this day, there will be a Trees of Conviction project. Up to twenty decorated Christmas trees will be throughout the jail and visitors will vote on their favorite. Area businesses, clubs, schools, etc. are encouraged to enter a tree in the contest.
A single $7 ticket admits visitors to all seven venues.

Each of the home owners/venues are preparing for lots of visitors during the tour! Each participant will receive a 2015 Metcalfe County Holiday Home Tour booklet filled with details about each participating venue and a favorite recipe.
