Misty May de-mystifies cemetery photo By Ed & Linda Waggener When we met Misty May tonight at the Christmas in Columbia, she cleared up the mystery of the six people who appeared as silhouettes on the crest of the hill in the Columbia Cemetery to Fairground at Campbellsville Street viewers and then seemed to disappear like apparitions back into the cemetery. Misty May lives at the Wall Street entrance to the cemetery and saw the scene from a clearer viewpoint. It was a family visiting in the area, she said, and they had just gone for a walk in the Columbia City Cemetery, gone to the crest of the hill, and turned around to return home. From her perspective, it was something completely commonplace. The Columbia City Cemetery is a favorite place for many people to walk, she said. She had had to explain the mystery to co-worker Linda Kessler at Lindsey Wilson, she said, had meant to call, but that urge receded into the background of her thoughts and she didn't think of it again until today. Moral: We aren't crazy after all. -- E & L This story was posted on 2015-12-05 17:39:04
