Traffic stop results in arrest of Columbia man on DUI charges.

Driver, 26, lodged in Adair County Regional Jail.

On Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at CPD Officer Josh Brockman initiated a traffic stop on a 95 GEO Tracker on Hudson Street for reckless driving.

After contact with driver it was observed that he was possibly under the influence of a intoxicating substance.


Further investigation resulted in the operator being arrested.

John Grant 26 of Columbia was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Drugs 1st offense and Reckless Driving.

Grant was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.

Issuance of warrants and/or arrests are not findings of guilt. An individual charged by police or in a warrant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.
