Traffic stop results in arrest of Columbia man on DUI charges. Driver, 26, lodged in Adair County Regional Jail. By Officer Josh Brockman, Public Information Officer Columbia Police Department, Chief, Jason Cross On Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at CPD Officer Josh Brockman initiated a traffic stop on a 95 GEO Tracker on Hudson Street for reckless driving. After contact with driver it was observed that he was possibly under the influence of a intoxicating substance. Further investigation resulted in the operator being arrested. John Grant 26 of Columbia was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Drugs 1st offense and Reckless Driving. Grant was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail. Issuance of warrants and/or arrests are not findings of guilt. An individual charged by police or in a warrant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.
