Carol Roberts: serious sounding IRS calls are bogus Carol Roberts writes: Twice in the last seven days I have received a call from someone with a very serious-sounding female voice claiming to be calling from the IRS with a "Final Warning" about supposed unpaid taxes. I am well aware that this is a fraud and a scam so I just hang up. I plan to notify the State Attorney General and the IRS.
