Allen Taylor, 83, Adair Co., KY (1932-2015)

He was a long time member at Trinity United Methodist, a song leader & served on various boards at Trinity. He was a merchant, an employee at Owens Men's Wear, co-owner of Ed's KY Auto Store, a plumber, and worked at Westlake Regional Hospital for 16 years. He also worked at NAPA Auto Parts in Columbia, KY. He was a native of Fairplay, KY, and a resident of Columbia, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Ed & Alta Blair Taylor, and the widower of Nelda Estes Taylor. He leaves three direct living descendants.

Allen Taylor age 83 years of Columbia, KY passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 5:32 PM at the Medical Center at Bowling Green, Bowling Green, KY.

Funeral service will be Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 11amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY with Rev. Steve Pescosolido the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Friday, November 27, 2015, at the funeral home.


Allen Taylor, 83, Adair Co., KY (1932-2015)


He was born on October 8, 1932 at Fairplay, Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Ed & Alta Blair Taylor. She died Wednesday, November 25, 2015, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 83 years, one month, and 17 days.

He was preceded in death by his wife Nelda Estes Taylor on May 18, 2013.

He is survived by the following:
  • One son: David Taylor & his wife Kristi of Columbia, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Nicholas Taylor & Emily Taylor

  • Several nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends
