Cub Scout Leaders needed for Pack 888 Leadership positions in need of leaders include Committee Chair, Advancement Chair, Treasurer, Cubmaster, Tiger Den Leader, Wolf Den Leader, Bear Wolf Leader, and Webelos Leader. Click on headline for complete story By Maggie Coleman The Cub Scouts in Pack 888 will hold an organizational meeting at 6pmCT, on Monday, November 23 , 2015, in the basement at The Church of the Nazarene, 1200 Jamestown Street, Columbia, KY. Any community member over the age of 21 who might be interested in mentoring and leading elementary age kids is invited to attend. The meeting is being held in an effort to save the charter of Pack 888 which consists of boys in grades 1-5 that have a strong desire to be a Cub Scout. Recent events have left Pack 888 with a void in leadership and concerned parents are trying to get things back on track in conjunction with professionals from the area's Boy Scouts of America office. For Monday night's meeting, Pack 888 is seeking anyone interested in volunteering in a leadership position and all boys who have previously signed up. There will be fun activities for the boys and a parent organizational meeting to outline the needed steps to save Pack 888 and sign individuals up to fill all of the required leadership positions. The positions include Committee Chair, Advancement Chair, Treasurer, Cubmaster, Tiger Den Leader, Wolf Den Leader, Bear Wolf Leader, and Webelos Leader. No Scouting experience is necessary to lead as there is training available both online and in person. There are also a great deal of resources on line to make the experience simple, fun, and rewarding. Please help us instill the values of Scouting into a new generation of men! If you have any questions, contact Dana King at 270-634-2608. This story was posted on 2015-11-18 20:32:02
