Nadine Loy, 87, Russell Co., KY (1928-2015)

She was a homemaker and a member of Old Liberty Community Church. She was a member of a large highly regarded Russell County, KY, family. She was the daughter of of the late Lawrence & Bertie Hadley Blakey, and the widow of Huston Loy. Her death leaves two surviving sisters of the six born to Lawrence & Bertie Hadley Blakey, Evelyn Phelps of Columbia, KY and Irene Knight of Jamestown, KY. She leaves seven direct living descendants.

Nadine Loy, 87, of Russell Springs, died Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at her home.

Funeral service for Nadine Loy will be 10amCT, Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Barry Lawson officiating. Visitation 5pm-8pmCT, Friday, November 20, 2015, at the funeral home. Interment in the Russell Springs City Cemetery. Special Music will be provided by the Blakey's. Pallbearers: Benjamin Loy, Adam Rainey, Timmy Antle, Tyler Antle, Robbie Stapp, and Glen Turner.

She was born November 11, 1928 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence & Bertie Hadley Blakey. She died Wednesday, November 18, 2015, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 87 years, seven days.

She was a homemaker and a member of Old Liberty Community Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Huston Loy; a brother, Wesley Blakey; and three sisters, Enola Wheat, Noma Holt, Exzona Bloyd.

Survivors include:
  • Two sons: Alan (Lana) Loy, Shelbyville, KY; and Dean Loy, Elizabethtown, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Benjamin Tyler (Tiffany) Loy and Tiffany Dale (Adam) Rainey
  • Three great grandchildren

  • Two sisters: Irene Knight, Jamestown, KY; and Evelyn Phelps, Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Garvin Blakey, Jamestown

      Bernard Funeral Home, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.

      The family requests memorials be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. These can be made at the funeral home.
