COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson College community opened Monday a week of extolling the virtues of international education.

The college started a weeklong celebration of International Education Week with an event in Norma & Glen Hodge Center for Discipleship that explored the food and culture of Japan and Korea.

A joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education, International Education Week aims to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and encourages college students from abroad and the United States to study, learn and have exchange experiences in other countries.

LWC has a total of 119 international students from 44 countries enrolled this year at its A.P. WHite Campus.
