Two more families reunited with their dogs If dogs have souls - and we'll let you adhere to your own theology on that - there have been hallelujah hounds up in heaven. Maybe Disney doesn't have time for every one of these one minute Happy Stories from the classifieds - but we do. - EW From Kim Sallee Yet two more families have been reunited with their pets. Both were joyous events for all of us here at Green River Animal Shelter, and we want you to join in with your own celebration. First was CM Classified Listing No. 14520, listed simply as "Cute little dog is lost and needs to find his way back home." Over this past weekend it happened - or at least, his owners found him. They are reunited. It's a reminder to everyone in Adair County, and often in Green County, as well - Animal Control there brings dogs nabbed over there to the Columbia shelter - that if your dog is missing, please contact Green River Animal Shelter, at 455 Appleby Drive, Columbia, KY, at 270-385-9655 Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays 10am-5pmCT and Saturdays 10am-2pmCT. It was listed with this notation: "This pretty little dog was brought in this morning, Tuesday, November 10, 2015." Over the weekend, the adorable dog at left was found by its family. Thanks to all the caring folks in this area who help by watching for lost pets when we post the notices that they have arrived at the shelter. Together, we're making pets - even feral animals lives much better. At Green River Animal Shelter, our goal is to have every animal well cared for, every animal known in its neighborhood known by its name, every dog or cat microchipped, whether a pet or feral. Of course we need your help. Come by and see the progress we're making. Volunteer if you love animals. Contribute supplies or money if you can. And, most of all, make room in your home and your heart for a dog or cat which will return affection tenfold.
